Privacy policy
What this site collects when you visit it or send a message, what happens to it, and how to see or correct what's held about you.
This policy explains how Wade Wildbore, trading as Bluu Interactive (“we”, “us”), handles personal information collected through this website at wade.bluu.co.nz and bluu.co.nz (the “Site”). We handle personal information in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
You can read the Site without telling us who you are. We only collect personal information you choose to give us.
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, your email address, your organisation if you give one, and your message. If you phone or email us directly, we collect the details you share in that conversation.
Visits, cookies and analytics
The Site does not set cookies, and it does not use advertising, tracking or third-party analytics scripts.
The Site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare receives technical details with each request, such as your IP address, browser, device type and the page asked for, and uses them to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We see only daily visit totals, not who visited.
How we use it
- To reply to your message, and to keep in touch about anything you've asked us about.
- To correspond with you about work we're discussing or doing together.
- To keep the Site running and to keep spam and abuse out of the contact form.
- Never for marketing. We don't run a mailing list, and we won't add you to one.
Where it is kept, and for how long
A message sent through the contact form is emailed to us. The platform that runs the Site also keeps a copy of it for a limited time, so a message that fails to send can be resent, and then deletes it automatically. We keep the email for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry or our work together.
Cloudflare and our email provider may store information on servers outside New Zealand. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Who we share it with
We don't sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share it only with Cloudflare, which hosts the Site, and with our email provider, so they can do that job, or where the law requires us to.
Your rights, and contacting us
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete it. To do any of these, or if you have a question about this policy, send a message through the contact page, call 027 861 7714, or write to PO Box 1146, Levin 5540, New Zealand.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
